BLACKPINK 5th Anniversary – Everything A Blink Should Know
On the 8th of August in 2016, one of the biggest girl groups in the K-Pop industry made its debut with ‘Square One’. To mark this date for the 5th consecutive year, YG Entertainment made an announcement. It was regarding the celebration of BLACKPINK’s fifth anniversary, on the 15th of June 2021. Taking to BLACKPINK’s official Twitter handle, the agency released a teaser photo for the [4+1 PROJECT]. The stylization of the text is certainly suggestive of the BLACKPINK 5th Anniversary. However, apart from the minimalistic photo, no other details regarding this massive project have been announced.

BLACKPINK Achievements So Far
Just in March 2021, Rosé made her solo debut with her first album titled ‘R’. In fact, the album has broken several post-sales records with over half a million copies being sold by April. This made Rosé the first female soloist in the country to achieve this grand feat in around 19 years. On the other hand, it is no surprise that Jisoo is one of the most beautiful visuals in the K-Pop industry. Last year, she became an ambassador for Cartier. Later this year, BLINKs and other K-Drama enthusiasts will see Jisoo in her first K-Drama – ‘Snowdrop’. This will mark the talented artist’s acting debut. Fans are also ardently looking forward to the youngest member, the maknae’s solo debut. In May 2021, we saw Lisa collaborate with fellow labelmates iKON for a rendition of their famous song Pretty Savage. The collaboration took place in an episode of Kingdom: Legendary War. Fans are looking forward to a collaboration between her and DJ Snake now. However, nothing has been revealed by YG Entertainment regarding the same yet. Jennie was the first BLACKPINK member who made her debut more than two years back in 2018. Her song ‘Solo’ was an immense success both in South Korea and abroad. Post the release of ‘Solo’, Jennie became the first Korean soloist to perform at the Coachella. She also participated in two reality shows – Running Man and Village Survival, The Eight.
